Speed Hack Ban

Hi, I have a constant problem where I freeze/lag in the same spot for a second or two, several messages then pop up saying Speed Hack Detected!

After this happens a few times I get session banned from the server and have to restart the game to try another server. It happens on all servers regardless if PB is enabled or not.

I have good ping nearly all the time and the game runs fine for me. I can't get into a game for more than five minutes now, it was ok up until a few days before the launch but it's now unplayable.

I've tried messing around with my firewall and anti-virus software, I've given my router a reset and I've made sure that any background programs have been closed or removed but nothing has worked. I've encountered a few people online with the same problem but can't stay in a game long enough to discuss it with them.

I also get this problem, Wireless N.

No option to go wired in the true sense.... do you think those powerline things would fare any better? That might be possible......

Tonight, session banned from 4 servers in less than half an hour :(

So..... seriously:

"Other: Broadband Internet Connection required"

Might want an update on the system requirements to reflect it has to be wired network?

Will begrudgingly seek a refund based on this then :(

I would also like a refund for this same issue, I've never had any problems with my internet connection but for whatever reason, Red Orchestra seems to hate it. I can't play the game for more than 2-5 minutes at a time without being "session banned" and it's driving me insane. I would appreciate it if someone would direct me to where I need to go to request a refund.

I seriously doubt it. The only way Steam issues a refund is if it's an issue on all buyers, like the DRM issue with Dead Island.

Meh, minimum specs. do not mention you have to have a specific network setup, I am optimistic at the moment as for a mostly online game not being able to play online despite meeting what is listed as minimum spec I feel I was mis-sold ;)

I'm bumping this, we deserve some sort of explanation or at least a promise of a fix, this is unacceptable.

Bump, same. The speed hack is ruining my gaming experience. The game runs fine and it's the only problem I can't deal with. It's like the Devs personally dislike on everyone that can't afford better internet, and decided that punishing lag by calling it speed hack is a brilliant idea. Or not. Just speculations.

Continuing to bump, as I've stated before this is unacceptable. Hello Tripwire? You there? You might want to at least poke your head in every once in awhile to see what the people who bought your game are saying, because from what I can tell so far, you don't give a rats ***.
