Can someone please make the leap into the untouched pool of the Spanish Civil War, its such a interesting conflict. Any modding wouldn't require much as the Republic used weapons and equipment from the Soviet Union (And Mexico).

A small overview for people who dont know much about the war,
In 1936 the Spanish People Elected the Popular Front, a collection of Left Wing Parties ranging from Communists to Anarchists. Conservative and Fascist Military leaders, as well as the Fascist Falange Party and Carlists where not happy with being commanded by a Left Government and rebelled against the Government. A large majority of the Army of Africa joined this rebellion, those troops being the most experienced of the entire Spanish Army.
Failure of the Governments decision to arm the population untill after the rebellion was well under-way meant there was little to oppose the rebellion in the early weeks, allowing it to gain momentum.
Trade Unions such as the Anarchist CNT and the Socialist UGT armed them selves against this Coup, Volunteers from abroad also joined in the fight against the Rebels (later organised as the International Brigades).
Fascist Germany and Italy supported the Rebellion with military aid and supplies. In response to this the soviet union sent over Tanks, Planes and military advisors.
However lack of a properly trained army and internal strife between the Pro-soviet International Brigades and the CNT and POUM who opposed military aid from the Soviet Union led to the Loyalists to be defeated.
German and Italian volunteer contingents gained experience from this conflict (this was where the 88mm found its role in destroying tanks).
As well as small Soviet contingents gaining valuable experience.
Equipment used by the Loyalists ranged from
T26 Tanks
I-16 and I-153 Planes
Soviet weaponry such as Mosin Nagants, DP-28's
Equipment the nationalists used ranged from
German made K98k's, G98's
Italian Carcano Rifles
Panzer 1 and Panzer 2 Tanks
BF-109 Planes

I think Brigadista summarized the causes of the Spanish Civil War really well. I too would enjoy seeing a modification dedicated to this often overlooked 'side show' in the interwar period.
