Noticed this last night, after the patch. Shots and echo in general leave a BUZZZZZZZZZZing sound which is really annoying me. I checked my headset in other games and music. Everything is completely normal. My headset is Sennheiser HD203.

Having the same issue since the latest patch. Did you try changing your audio channels?

No I did not. And why would I? It has to work, not be jerked around and made to work. I got a good headset and Sound Blaster USB 24 bit sound card.

Not sure if the issue you are discussing is what I'm experienceing. I had this before the patch. Inititally I ran the game with onboard sound as I waited for delivery of my New soundcard (final element of my new build). I still get the exact same issue, now with an X-Fi fatality Championship series card (PCI-e).

It is like a Buzzing sound or an electronic echo sound it lasts for all of a second but it is annoying. All my other games do not have this issue. RO1, ARMA 2, BFBC2, TF2, BATMAN Arkham Asylum etc. I need to play the game some more to see if there is a correlation or if it is map specific. It doest happen all the time either but significantly enough to notice and be bothered by it.

It doesn't affect frame rates or anything like that so appears to be solely sound issue.

Cheers Carb

You do know under the audio options in game you can change your audio channels from 8-128. I was referring to it as a temporary fix although I still noticed it occasionally when I lowered mine from 128 but no where near as bad as it was. Also as a side note I wouldn't consider the hd203's as that great of a pair of cans. If you're ever looking at upgrading you should check out headfi.

Pretty sure that's what we're all getting, yeah.

In my experience it happens with bass oriented noises, such as explosions, blasts.

Some of you guys are just noticing it with the latest patch because its now about 2x worse. But it was present in the beta and release. Most hear-able after MG fire, artillery, tank engines, but I think actually every sound in the game causes it. Its really pretty annoying.

Temporary solution is not a solution at all. That's why I report any bug I find, so that it can be solved permanently.
HD203 are not the best cans out there sure, especially for gaming. But I use them for music, movies, mixing my own songs and they work pretty good in that regard. In games, since the bass is pretty powerful on HD203 I get a beefy, fat, rich stereo sound of gunfire and explosions. So it's not exactly a 5 bucks crappy headset for skype ;) And no, I'm not looking for an upgrade ATM. But thx for the info.
