danzig with tanks? what could be worse?

John Gibson stated in article that in ROost in too many scenarios tanks were at the advantage over the infantry and they trying now to give infantry more cover/concealment. So I guess that pziv being on "danzig" is the result.

But the movement looked a LOT better than it did in the footage from Gamescom. Still a little rough in the transition from living / walking / running to falling corpse, but not something you'll probably have time to notice in-game.

Yeah, when the squad of Germans gets mowed down by that MG, none of the soldiers maintain any of their forward momentum after getting shot. They just suddenly stop in place, and then the death animation plays.

The tank crew in action was fantastic! I doubt nuDanzig will actually feature a Panzer if the layout remains the same, simply because Danzig only has one possible path for a tank to drive through, and even then, you probably wouldn't be doing much driving around given the size of the map.

But we'll see. :IS2:!

Awesome job on the tank system TripWire, very well thought out. I for one will definitely be tanking a lot more.


Also, you have to be Tank Crewman to enter a tank correct? Like, can your buddy who is a Rifleman get in and use the MG?

That didn't answer my question, actually. Yes, I would spawn in a tank as a tank crewman, but could I drive over to a Rifleman and let him use the MG, replacing the AI?

I'm actually on my iPad using in flight wifi on the way to pax. Hope you guys are digging all the info coming out today. Just a few things to note:

- The tank was put in the Danzig remake just for the trailer, the final map probably won't have a tank in it (although that is what mod tools are for).
- The interview talks about it, but just in case people missed it there are 4 crewable positions, driver, gunner, hull mg, commander.
- Tank crew live and die with the tank. They only spawn in the tank, and don't ever get out. If your crew dies, you can go back to the resupply area and they will respawn. And everyone will repawn together in the tank if the tank is destroyed.
