This has been previously found to be a corrupt file issue. Please try clicking "Verify Game Cache" in Steam and if that doesn't correct it, please delete the killingfloor folder in /Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common and reinstall the game.

most assertionfailed ones are, but the savedstateindex is from what i've seen mostly connected to ram/vram data corruption.

So for most people setting the cachesizemegs higher, precaching off and a big table fan blowing into the computer helps against it.

Can you post your ini file?

Try to upgrade your videocard and motherboard drivers beside that upgrade to the latest revision of directx.

You could try deleting your system folder as well, and then checking the integrity of the gamecache by steam and letting that folder redownload.

Try reducing the resolution here.

The problem seems to be here:

[Engine.Engine]
RenderDevice=PixoDrv.PixoRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=PixoDrv.PixoRenderDevice

Remove the yellow highlighted line from your.ini
Un-comment the D3D9Drv. line (blue)
or just copy the correct lines from below.

Should be:

[Engine.Engine]
RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice
;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=PixoDrv.PixoRenderDevice
