Level Design Some things not working in online play

Baffled by this one...

I'm part way through creating a map and doing little bits of play-testing every now and again, with everything so far working as expected. However, last night I did my first online play-test with a couple of friends and a few things were a bit amiss. The following list of things work when testing in the SDK and work when playing in the game offline but not playing in the game online...

1) Ambient sounds. Nothing. Not a sausage.
2) There are a couple of doors which start closed and welded. Although the doors are welded, the weld mesh doesn't appear until you start to unweld them.
3) I have a fire trap (similar to the one in MonsterBall), which is triggered by a minigame activation. The player gets prompted for activation, player presses the button but nothing happens, although the reactivation timer works because the button doesn't become available to press for 15 seconds.

What on earth have I done?
