I've personally rebound most of the function keys (like the bayonet button, ironsights to the right mouse button and secondary fire to the middle mouse button), but that's not what this thread is about. This thread is about keys you probably haven't even bound yet.

Grenade 'Shout': I'm sure you've all been in the position where a grenade lands in the window or door, and while you've seen it and are able to run away, your two friends with their faces out the windows didn't see it roll in and are consequently turned into grenade salad. Another occasion is simply when you see the enemy pull the pin on the grenade or you can predict that he's going to throw one, but your teammate is oblivious. That's why it's important to bind this one where you can easily reach it. Of course, the way voices travel in the game is a bit screwed, and I'm not sure if they intend to fix it, but it's worth binding anyways.

Where it's bound on my keyboard:
Z

Vehicle Chat: I'm not even sure if this is a default binding or anything anymore, but all I know is when I talk to people within' my vehicle, more often than not they reply in 'Team Chat'. DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR VEHICLE CHAT BINDING IS?

Where it's bound on my keyboard:
X

*IMPORTANT* Extended Vehicle Communication: As I'm sure most of you team-players will agree, using the NUMPAD to communicate direction to your driver is certainly handy. I've taken this a step further.

I designated my arrow keys as spotting keys that are handy for both the driver and commander. For example, UP ARROW will say "Enemy in front!", DOWN ARROW will say "Enemy behind us!", LEFT ARROW will say "Enemy left flank!" and so on and so forth. This has come in handy if you don't have a mic, and you're watching as your idiot commander won't poke his head out of the hatch and aim at the Panther 15 meters to your left, or if your driver has no idea where you're being fired at from. Sure as hell beats shifting through two pages menus.

Furthermore, I have designated keys right above the arrow keys for the misc. vehicle communications, although this is left important. The most used of these ones is "Loaded.", "Get out!" and "Enemy infantry close".

Where they're bound on my computer:

"Enemy ahead!": UP ARROW
"Enemy behind us!": DOWN ARROW
"Enemy left flank!": LEFT ARROW
"Enemy right flank!: RIGHT ARROW

"Loaded.": END
"Enemy infantry close!": DELETE
"Get out!": PAGE DOWN
"We're burning!": HOME

The best part about all these keys is that they are accessible, easy to remember, and for the most part, downright handy. They'll obviously conflict with your current bindings (such as some of the vehicle commands with your mic commands, if you use one), but they're worth binding somewhere, as there is lots of space on your keyboard. If you can't find room, even configure another WASD-type configuration such as IJKL.

Anyways, hopefully you'll find them as helpful as I did-- it's worth giving a try if you have the space on your keyboard. Happy binding!

One thing I really love to use:

Did you know you can scroll through the voice commands with the mouse wheel and chose them with the third mouse button? I always use voice commands like that by now, for me its even faster than using the keyboard (well, i still need to press "v" once :p ) and I can do it on the run without looking at my keyboard or stoping because of the lack of super-spider-hands.
