DP-28? Worse than the MG-34? Surely you jest, good sir.

I'd take the DP over the MG any day. I can fire the DP without my 5th shot flying into the next county thanks to the recoil bouncing my barrel into the sky.

Please, don't "fix" the DP or nerf the MG. It's so easy to get my favorite class as it stands...

Dont ever use full auto with MG34 and you'll be fine

Move the mouse aim downwards while firing the burst. It really works. Can shoot pretty tight groups of 3-5 shots at hundreds of meters. Despite knowing about this, I find it hard to be disciplined enough to do it when it is hectic and a target rich environment. The DP-28, PPSh and AVT-40 work the same way. PPSh requires a hell of a lot of movement if firing while standing. The recoil is much less if resting the weapon on something, and halfway better if crouching instead of standing.

The main problem with the weapon is that the game doesn't currently have the "suitable" targets for it. I mean light tanks and other lightly armoured vehicles (half-tracks, armored cars etc). The fact is, that the medium T-34 and PzIV tanks are just as tough to kill as they should be (or even too easy in case of T-34). This is why infantry is being targeted more than it should, the lack of any better target.

Oh, I know, but the point is it's a lot less of a struggle to keep the DP on target. I can fire longer bursts much faster and reacquire in a lot less time with less mouse movement.
