Soloing 2011 weapon achievements

First off. Yes I know some of you do not care about getting the achievements. I do. Please do not flame here about it.

For some reason I cannot solo the new weapon achievements. As of yesterday morning I earned meat pasta but now I cannot earn any of them. I have tried on multiple maps. I have tried different difficulty settings. I have tried different length games; short, medium and long. I have read and followed the directions posted here http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2386339
I still cannot earn credit towards burning irony, Highlander or finish him.

I can however, earn credit for I love ze healing not ze hurting in multi-player on hard difficulty.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thx.

Just so you know, I don't solo with mutators or sandbox (I earned the meat pasta achievement with the same settings) and I already tried hosting a listen server.

Oddly, I can still complete the map achievements. I just earned hard ice cave after my post. I was able to earn credit towards the healing achievement during this run. It was a multiplayer game.

I try again.

Ok, so to make things even more strange I just soloed waterworks and got the achievement. I don't get it ...

I do not play with mutators or the sandbox enabled. I already tried to host a listen server with no success. I can still earn map achievements both solo and in mulitplayer. This is very strange.

Well, the christmas event is over now. Maybe that is why? I wasn't thinking that these weapon achievements would be tied to the christmas event.

Ok I just soloed westlondon on beginner short and killed everything with the claymore but no achievement. I think something is definitely off here.

Just noticed that my HoE achieve for water works just disappeared. I earned it last night as a test and it was there but now it is gone.

If I must reinstall how do I ensure that all my hard work doesn't become electron dust?

Your achievements and stats aren't saved on your PC, but on the Steam cloud. You can even fully format your PC hard drive, and you'll still be able to reinstall KF and all your progress will still be saved.

OK that is good to know. I have spent so many hours grinding to get all of the perks at lvl 6 that I would not do it again if I lost them. Thx

So is the consensus that I need to reinstall?

Some just posted that their husk cannon achievement is not increasing. Mine does not either.

Yes I suspect that something is going on.

Do I just start steam and uninstall? How will I protect my perks?

I don't care if my achievement isn't reinstated I prefer to earn my map achievements online.

Yes I read that but it doesn't state how to make sure that the steam cloud doesn't also delete my data.
