So why is this game so F'd on release?

Those of us saying it will be fixed and not to worry have experience with TWI and know how dedicated they are. If anyone needs to man up it's you, vote with your wallet, get a refund and stop crying like a child

Silly boy, don't U think I would have done that ages ago.
I bought this game for the mods.
Yes twi are quick and good at fixing things but that's not the point.
if they didn't prematurely release it the threads like this wouldn't
Even exist.

TW isn't a mainstream company they thought they would have some slack cut for them as most of the community has done in the past. But now with "attracting new community" they have underestimated the size of the community and overestimated the maturity, patience, and understanding of the newly attracted people.

So we end up with these threads. From people who don't understand the developer's methods and what they're used to.

It doesn't really matter that it "will" be fixed, because the point is that it was shipped in this state.

TWI should have delayed it again, because it leaves a bad first impression. How many customers have they lost because their friends or a reviewer said it's a buggy mess? Could have been avoided.

You do know that running a business requires some money, loads of it probably...

could have, should have, it's done.
look ahead at what needs to be done instead of looking back all the time

They released it, nothing you can do about it anymore instead of endlesly posting they shouldn't have, which in the end still doesn't change the fact they did, live with it

So it DOES matter what they are going to do, and everybody who really know TW have faith that they will fix things

It's pretty normal for just about any piece of software to be very poo on release, y'know. When new software gets released, it's always in what is sort of like an open beta stage, and it gets fixed up nicely sooner or later. Microsoft for example, and so damn many people use their operating systems, don't they?

I agree with you but I have some speculation they released it like this intentionaly. Kind of like "we're not like other companies we will always fix what's broken as fast as possible" a new era with something called "direct developer support".

...And keep in mind, the game still runs rather well for many players with very few problems. I'm not ignoring the fact that others do have problems, I'd have to be blind, but for those complaining, many of you act like we are all in your situation and we definitely are not.

That said, I'm sure TWI will fix it and the best you can do for now is report the problems and have patience.

CRY MORE.....

That's all I'm going to post in this moronic threads anymore.. BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW BBAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Games perfect, I love it. Sick and tired of coming here to actually try and discuss the game and instead I see these stupid damn threads.. This is a discussion forum, not a cry and moan forum, technically your crying etc should probably be in SUGGESTIONS or something..

Who cares about stats? I don't, it'll be ironed out eventually.. For now you can still join servers and shoot people and play the game just fine... stats don't hinder anything. So either quit crying on here or continue BAWWWING your head off and quit.

Erm, and your calling people moronic. I mean how old are you? If your 12 or 13 fair enough. Any older you've got a cheek.

Look at Cliffs of Dover. The USA had to wait months after the rest of the world bought it so they could get it upto a reasonable playing experience. Even then a few Americans wanted it bugged or not.

Compare that game release to this one there is a world of difference. It was a shocker. Then look at Paradox, a company who releases games in beta stage all the time.

I'm glad to read that some of you "get it."

Those of you saying "Don't look back, look forward, the game's already released!" You are letting the past repeat itself. We need to find a way to stop rewarding the incompetence of these companies. We are letting beta releases remain an industry standard.

Those of you cutting TW some slack because they're a small company need to let them die if they can't stay afloat long enough to polish the game. Its not like they can't sell it off and let someone else finish it before they go under. Companies NEED the fear of god put into them or they will get lazy.
They're not your friends. Look at their ad on Steam and you can see they don't mind lying to you because its good business to do so. I should've expected your sort of mentality in a game about Communists vs. National Socialists.

That being ranted, Steam won't give refunds after the release date. Next game, I WILL pay for beta and get a refund before release (even that's a scam, like paying for an insurance policy in case a product doesn't work). But for now I will look into refund options from Tripwire themselves and I will continue to *****, and suggest, and do my part in smoothing the game out. (You do realize they should be paying US for work like that? Yeah. Scams all around.)

After today I won't be playing any more RO2, due to the bugs which have just kept chipping away. The fact the stats did not work was annoying for a little while, but then I just played for the game enjoyment. But now i'm fed up with it!!! Today for some reason I could not respawn even though others were, and it seemed to happen when I had the sniper class. Then to top it all off during a good game...........................CRASH!!!!

Then there are the map issues! Now I like most of the maps, apart from that soviet square onE in the snow (name escapes me) Then the one with the church in the middle..................why do the russians have so far to run from the spawn? Completely unbalanced and allows the axis to dominate that map!

Can't see the point in playing on tbh!!

Game is messed up, not just bugs, performance and stuff but the whole game, idea was good but realization is bad, it's some arcade quasi-realistic hybrid.
With one good thing comes 10 bad ones. This game is never going to be fixed, its gonna end up with 2 or 3 half empty servers and thats all. Ladies and gents that is the reality, we should all deal with it, wish them luck and move on to the next thing.

Most sensible and truthful post I have read for a long time.
Its shocking that so many people put up with such flawed products.

Give this man a cookie

You just wouldn't get it. I'd rather have a product that I end up enjoying that is broken at first than to have a product which I could give a flying **** about that I had no involvement in fixing the things I didn't like.
