Me and several IRL friends I got into KF are buying it. I don't really know anything about the game and I haven't played the first one, but from Tripwire's track record with Killing Floor I know it is likely to be a solid, well supported game.

Argh, I hate to say it, but it has BF3 to contend with, a game I pre-ordered the other day.

Never played RO1, but I will def be giving RO2 a go, do I pre-order though? Or wait for those crazy steam sales again.

Pre-ordered the deluxe edition. I enjoyed RO and RO2 is bound to be way better. Plus, if Tripwire released a Hello Kitty game for $40 I'd probably buy it just to support them.

Now to divide my time between RO2, BF3, work and school...

Think the deluxe edition was only like 35 dollars/euros which is way cheaper than the most new games nowdays, like eg. CoD7 was like 60 euros when it came out -.- so Id say go for the preorder and get some KF characters while at it

Looks to me like it could be the best FPS released certainly this year, if not this decade.

It will never outsell COD of course, cause lets face it, us serious gamers aren't really the customer demographic anymore. However as a game I think it will kick Call of Duty's arse so hard it will be wearing its buttocks as a hat. I'd be mad to miss being part of that.

EDIT - Also BF3 is supposedly just a clone of it's predecessor according to a friend in the beta. And lets face it, modern warfare shooters are just plain pants.

I love Ostfront but there are way more veterans than average players playing it's hard to pick up this late. Everybody I've made buy it has said it's very frustrating to learn.... something which Tripwire said they've addressed for the second one? I hope so.

I played the BF3 alpha, it's not like BC2. You say you won't be getting it anytime soon, but it isn't because you aren't interested, it is because you can't afford it. Solution: get a job.
