Yes, working on updates. Our style is to release info on them only when we are close, rather than promise stuff and keep "delaying".

Yes, in case you hadn't noticed, we've already fixed a bunch of bugs and exploits.

More news coming "Soon. Very soon." (c)

Did you got a copy-write on the "Soon. Very Soon." already?!

The English equivalent to Id's "When its Done."

I only really scan 2 forums, killing floor and l4d. It's because I like both games and play each one a lot (more then I should). There seems to be one majior difference between the 2 forums, try to find somewhere, anywhere in the l4d forum where the developers have responded. (good luck) TWI has been responding fairly regularly in these forums since the games release. I believe we will see some good stuff from them in the near future. As long as the next announcement they make doesn't go like this "We are happy to announce that Killing Floor 2 will be released later this year" :p

"Soon, Very Soon", means in the near future.

You heard the man. Why should they make a post for every miniscule change that they make? they will just get trolled with opinions from tons of people for every tiny thing instead of large updates as a whole.

And secondly, i'd like to see YOU make a game as awesome as KF and manage to keep your site updated with info while you make time to fix bugs AND work on new content. Making games and perfecting them is far from easy. If there's a bug reported in the game, then these people have to figure out what coding is causing it and then try different methods to iron it out without causing other bugs in other areas of the game.

Not to mention, it's not like the staff at TWI has unlimited time to work on these things. You're basically asking them to slave away just to satisfy impatient people like you. They are real people with real lives aside from the game just like you. Think outside the box a bit kid and be happy with the game as it is now and be happier with the fact that updates will be coming out soon and will continue to for a long time.

i don't doubt that maybe TWI could reveal a BIT more about what they have planned, but honestly, i'd rather be surprised! I'd much rather just state my opinions about what I want to happen, not what will actually happen in terms of changes.

Killing Floor will soon grow to it's full potential but TWI needs support from their fans. And support does not equal whining. :p

Give out ideas and feasible ways to do them. That's the best way you can contribute to KF! Be greatful that it's a community powered game! Telling the developers to hurry up doesn't help one bit.

TWI is by far one of my fav developers and they can do whatever they want imo

Look another drama queen blowing my post way out of proportion. Again, no one is asking for every miniscule change, and don't be dramatic with the slaving away. Dear god I develop software as well, a bit of communication is hardly working them to the bone lol....

Some people have a really weird view of game developers, it's as though they think they aren't real people with real businesses. Business is business.

What's happening?

How about a load of new high quality maps in the short term

http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?p=458228#post458228

Yeah I been playing those maps and was considering to start getting into modding for this game, but I generally want to know whats planned for a game before I put that effort in, since it does take a bit of time.

Honestly I'm not even too concerned about new maps, I just wanted to know what is planned for the game, and some acknowledgment of bugs such as

1. The LAW going through enemies
2. Grenades bugged on listen servers

I have looked around but haven't seen TWI comment on these - maybe I have missed their posts?

If they promise to fix the shotgun knockback back to how it was at release, I won't ask about updates again I promise :p

KF was so much more fun before the first patch :( - I wonder if it can be modded so it behaves like it did back then?

I have to admit, it was funny watching those things fly back after you shot them :p

Yeah we were having a ball before the first patch, I even preferred it with the bugs/glitches that were still in the game :(.. it's meant to be about fun after all right?

I wonder if its possible to use a mutator to change it back, I suppose it depends on what they actually changed

I'm ABSOLUTELY, COMPLETELY POSITIVE agree with this idea. Plz, even just for a percentage knock back is sufficient. Why? This my argument :D

Any outdoorsman will tell you the most frustrating part of hunting is when a deer simply FALLS DOWN when shot, and doesn't FLY BACKWARDS into the forest
Okay, about communication. Keep others in the dark is the good strategy for surprising them, but a few more hint would be better, don't you agree? I say, just make a twitter/facebook/etc. and write once or twice a day. It wouldn't take much time, and is quite enough, for me and most of fan, I think.

Or you could, ya know, just be patient? I mean, seriously. They'll patch it when they patch it with what they want to patch it with. When the patch is released, you'll find out what's in it. Patience is a virtue.

sheezwack, my post was not directed towards you. i apologize if it sounded like i was hounding only you. it was directed towards anyone thinking about complaining excessively about updates and TWI's involvement with the fans illogically.

Personally I'm glad they reduced the knockback it's perfect how it is currently imo. Before there was no real sense of danger like it is now. Simply because you'd blast the specimans and they'd get knocked back 10 feet, they never really could get close enough to you to pose a threat most times like that. Now if only they could fix the Skrake, he's supposed to be a scary imposing menace but right now he's just too easy to avoid and kill.
