So is it Steamworks?

Now that RO2 hit content lock and there's a release date announced can I get a final answer on whether or not the game is Steamworks? If it is I see literally no reason to buy the game outside of retail as I'll be paying less for it while having all the benefits of a Steam title with a free boxed copy.

On a similar note, any final decision on a collector's edition, Steam or otherwise?

I'd like to know this as well. I'm torn between pre-ordering on steam, or pre-ordering a hardcopy. Need to know if it's steam works first though.

Since RO2 uses Steamworks, it will require Steam, whether you buy retail or not.

As has been announced multiple times. RO 2 is a steamworks title. All backend functionality is handled by steamworks, from server browser, authentication, friends lists and more.
