Anyone who starts teamkilling in own spawn (or anywhere else, intentionally) will definitely be permanently banned from my server when I get to hosting one.

"No mercy to idiots" has always been my administrative strategy, and I'll keep that up in the future as well. In my books, intentional teamkilling is the worst sort of idiocy that exists in multiplayer games, no matter what the explanation is. I would never tolerate that, and I sincerely hope that other server admins have similar attitudes.

I just prefer fair play.

"No mercy to idiots" so surely you dislike the people who refuse to play gametypes properly, im talking about people who sit at the back of spawn sniping with SMGs and Bolts. Its Bad Company 2 all over again! If there were unlimited Marksman slots everyone would be hiding in the Univermag and The Ruskie Spawn (forget the buildings name) and ignoring the capture zones.

Obviously the above example is an exaggeration and should be treated as such, but you get the idea.

Unfortunately, I didn't get his steam ID after he TKed me and 3-4 other people on my team. This idiocy should be dealt swiftly. RO does not need this little ****s running around thinking they gods-sent.

Fair play doesn't exist with Russian and German squad leaders. Be sure to share what your server name is, so I never join it.

How am I being an idiot? the people camping are the real idiots. Im making the game much more fun by forcing people to advance. if only a few people camped instead of 3/4 of the team, Fallen Fighters becomes a really fun map to play.

Also, sucessful thread was sucessful

Clearly, teamkilling anyone still learning the ropes of the game is the proper way to bring in more players.

There's more going on than just people learning the game. Alot of times half the soviet team actively avoids the first 2 objectives in apartments by camping at the spawn building and the other half rushes into the open getting killed by the dozens all the while there's a wall inbetween the bridges. You can't miss it, it's quite a big wall and I always point out to the team there's a wall between the bridges where you can hide behind while capping the objectives but it doesn't help. I tried forcing them by looking for campers and invdivually order them to go to the capture point and shoot around them so they get supressed or drop smoke so they can't use the windows. I can understand MGs and snipers camping, but assault and squad leaders? Even when we just lost the first round due to lockdown they won't change their tactic which makes me ragequit.

I'm going to start doing this. The amount of times we could've taken the park on apartments, but everyone is just camping in the side house, waiting for nothing in particular.

Hehe, I remember I'd do this in RO1 all the time. I remember one time in the church on Baksan valley, there were four or five Russian riflemen sitting around sniping. I came up, hit all of them in the back with my pistol to get them looking at me, and shot one of them in the head. I then typed "Forward! Charge!" and they all sprinted out. It was brilliant.

in Apartments on the D objective, that count yard is a dead zone for the Russians most of the time with the german held up strong in there spawn building. So most of the time all the heated battles happen in the propaganda house and the russians hardly attack D. I dont get that while the C is held strong, we Russians dont muster up 20-25 soldiers and charge the objective.

So in a game we had C held firm, some russians comrades were pop shotting at the germans from across the court yard so i got my mic active and told that we have 2 minutes to go, everyone gather near C. About 30 seconds later i have rounded out around 10-15 soldiers behind a wall, i go yea its good enough so we then charged out from cover and towards the objective. Only to be guned down in around 5 seconds by a wall of machine gun and sniper fire.

I'll play devil's advocate here:

Would you guys prefer being teamkilled once or twice, or sit through one of the most frustrating matches in your career because your team refuses to advance and take objectives?

Yeah, I'd take the former too.

I had a voice line as commander on fallen heroes which was basically a threat against anyone who was a coward (I accidentally shot at someone), so maybe TW really wants us to execute people :D.

I'll take the first two objectives all by myself, comrade!

I learned to use voice chat and shoot NEAR the cowards who don't advance... If anyone has watched Band of Brothers, it was like Carentan. Worked pretty well, and I didn't lose any honor.

Look, Tking is frowned upon no matter what reason, but I must admit I've gotten close to being kick/banned just for telling my team to get in the cap... okay more yelling then telling.

Just give the no TK approach a chance... might help you level up faster when the time comes.

I had a game of Fallen Fighters yesterday with about 64 people

As I was on the russian team I just started shouting this over VOIP:

YOU ARE NOT FALLEN FIGHTERS ALL YOU CAMPERS ARE FALLEN COWARDS!
MOVE FORWARD YOU SWINES!

and then suddenly out of the 15 people camping I saw 12 moving up with me...

It felt good...

I don't really care for Fallen Fighters but when I do I always play SL and try to force/aggressively suggest my team to attack.

If it gets real bad I just smoke the windows so they are forced to leave their camping spots in order to see the enemy. I also fire near them to suppress them.

Even putting smoke across the street in a helpful spot cuts off the line of sight between each spawn point. Then you see who the real dicks are that literally won't move for anything. If they still sit there even if they can't see across then you know you have a team of buttheads.

A guy was shooting my butt, when I clearly was covering a capture point, think it might have been you...
