Tank cutting down the infantry like there's no tomorow?

Simple! Smoke it out. This gives you enough time for your anti-tank infantry to flank it and nail it where the armour is thinnest!

This is helpful on maps where there is little armour compared to infantry(like hedgehog).

I think the trick is actually getting close enough to be able to smoke it out and flank it without it retreating, unless of course you get the grenade to stick to the tank like Sichartshofen pointed out.

Yeah ive done this once on Konigsplatz, our tankers were lame as hell and couldnt play for ****, so i asked our SL to smoke the german tank, so it couldnt see.
I then moved around and put a faust in its side, blowing it up :)

Any tips on how to get those nades to stick to tanks?

I'm new here so I a couple of other smoke questions come to mind. How does cooking (holding the grenade for a while before throwing) effect smoke nades?
Also, is it better to throw nades right in front of a tank or pillbox or right on top of it?

Smoke grenades make a good substitute for Molotov Cocktails.

Those can never be substituted. :D

@topic

Smoking tanks is in 90% of the cases a good idea, but if the tanker sees from where is the guy throwing the smoke he will shoot in that area. There was a guy with me on Konigsplatz who smoked a russki tank and the crew bombed the area near him. Injured me heavily, and the guy died.

Right on top of the tank, then it will drive around the smoke ontop of the tank. It makes the tankers angry and good targets.

nothing funnier than lobbing smoke nades on the front glacis. if the guy doesnt know the map you often see the tiger getting stuck on konigs for example. wait i take back what i just said, its funnier to watch the stuck crew stay in the tank for 10 minutes trying to get it out HAHA.
