I think you forgot that these vision slots are closed in a combat zone so an endless supply is not needed:

It was a very old gif I made in short order some years ago it could have been better this is true but I have long since lost the .psd file.Frostedfire said:snippet...worked your GIF builder into a longer timer...snippet
This was not possible, simply because the holes were too small to allow the PTRD/PTRS to hit the episcope (as illustrated above) and penetration of that armor is out of the realm of possibility for the ATRs in question.theta123 said:It is because PTRD/PTRS still went trough that episcope
Assuming you catch a tank in a combat zone with its armored shutter open (and 4 out of 5 of of its drivers glasblocks are broken) there is also a few other variables to consider the size of the target and the distance due to this even a relatively close range distance of 100 meters shot becomes very difficult because of the small size of the target. Someone long ago on these forums posted up a list of ranges at which various items of varying measurements became an unintelligible blob (in real-life) it was a very interesting topic.theta123 said:people forget that they dint had an endless supply of these things
What about mantling a tank? I.E. jumping on top and throwing a grenade down the hatch. Call of Duty 3 handled this mechanic pretty well and it gave infantry a small chance to fight back. I don't know if those hatches were locked, but it would be cool. Or you could just give Russian infantry molotovs and Germans can deal with it.
Look here for an even easier thing:VISION SLIT CLOSED IN BATTLE.....then it would be easier to read and I would have spent less time trying to read what you wrote...
I think you are confused. If you are saying that the PTRD/PTRS can go through the episcope you are incorrect as the openings for the episcopes are about 2 (two) mm bored through a solid plate.TT33 said:I think you forgot that these vision slots are closed in a combat zone so an endless supply is not neededtheta123 said:It is because PTRD/PTRS still went trough that episcope
*Sigh* Assuming you get past the HE/hull, coaxial MG/side/rear pistol ports then you would find locked hatches as they had locks on the hatches...Marxman said:What about mantling a tank?
