this might be a difficult task to do, but having actual single player campaign would draw more people not introduced to red orchestra series.
story, cinematic-oriented. not clunky ai terriotory mode. plz gawd no.
it is better not to have single player campaign than those of red orchestra 2
arma3 released single campaigns after the launch.
single player / coop campaign may be a whole different project, but it would be worth it to gain more player base and money $$

because.

there has not been a good vietnam war based game that also features multiplayer.
may be battlefield bc vietnam? but ive never played it so i cant really say :/

i really wish and hope that rising storm 2 would take the place.
in addition to ai.
i know ai is just ai. but the current status of ai is pain in the butt
they dont stay on point for defense, they rarely capture, their aim skill boosts up and down, exposing themselves in the open, can see through bushes and etc etc.

when reloading while lying down or cover, sometimes player tends to be absorbed under the ground and jump up and down..
the hand position is not correct when people are shooting by the cover as the weapon position is adjusted by the position of the cover rather than the hands
when reloading the lever of gun moves itself. i think it happens to smg mostly.

and possibly facial expression?
mouth opening, shooting, injured facial expression?

1) AMG small, but great team with wonderful ideas and lack of money
2) Nothing better introduces new people than an online team work
3)Face FX was a performance hit in RO2, so they denied it. I hope it will be in RS2.

frankly many people are more of one-army type.
that is why COD is still in the market and hitting the top.
and the single player too. i really think COD franchise lost its way after modern warfare2, but many people still like blackops and other sh*t stories. probably due to cinematic scenes and well... it's michael bay version of fps really.

I'm not saying rising storm 2 should be like another COD (and it will never EVER WILL BE), but having a decent single player campaign WILL introduce to new players.
non-hardcore FPS players will not stay long. because they end up running and keep dying not knowing where enemies at and what are the objectives (capping points duh, but where and how do i reach the point? new comers will learn through the hard way).
or even like insurgency. insurgency revived after they introduced terrorist-hunt style mode.
rising storm 2 could feature small scale coop which would bring very different game play to the traditional territory online game play.
i'm not saying we should add terrorist hunt, but a decent single player or coop to let non-hardcore players be occupied.
that is having another game within one game.

all these features can be done after the official launch.

and as far as i understand arma is also not-so-big studio.
single player campaign may not be the best feature arma can offer but it still introduces to new comers.
as i mentioned earlier, arma3 single player campaign released months after the official launch.
arma3 single player kinda introduces how to play the game which RO2 lacked of, because the game features of various objectives with various different game plays. not the same territory mode.

**the very first operation flashpoint was the best of all arma series :/
