Richey,

Another question to you. Do you have masterserver files in your
steam/config folder??

This is NOT a masterserver file issue. That fix does nothing. Those files already exsisted, and still exsist. I did not have this problem in ROOST, or any other game for that fact.

Nope, not an issue on my side. I actually took my computer to 3 different houses, and the same result at each house, using their router's, and even bypassing them hooking straight up to the modem. All ports are properly working, MW2 had that issue, it was one of the first things I checked.

Could still be a problem on your computer, i could have my software firewall on my computer on paranoid mode and have it blocking access and still take it to my buddy's house and not get any connection.

But still could be an issue on TW's part, just saying.

Also people that are having a problem should post what operating system they are using as well as firewall and/or antivirus they are using. Also include Service Pack Version if applicable.

Already ruled out firewalls/security software. Disabling everything still has the same result. Not to mention that is the most obsurd and outlandish idea EVER. Every other game I have works just fine with my security software, and if that was the cause of these problems, ITS STILL TWI's PROBLEM. WHY THE HELL should I have to disable my security to play a game? Why does this sound like I'm calling my ISP?

Of course I unplugged/reset my modem you idiot. I wouldn't be calling you guys if it was that simple.

And to rule out my computer, I installed the game on a couple of friends computers', and STILL THE SAME RESULT.

JUST to make it clear, here is a checklist of everything I've tried...

-masterserver file
-port forwarding NAT restrictions
-disabled ALL firewall/security
-directly plugged into modem/bypass router
-tried on multiple computers (tried each of these "fixes" on each computer)

There is only TWO constants in the whole situation.

I even went as far to purchase an additional copy for a friend to rule out my steam account, and he has the EXACT same problem.

I know you guys are trying to help, but when you bring up the most simple solutions that help nothing, it gets very frustrating, and quite frankly insulting.

Just offering those solutions because not everyone is having the same problem you are plus you didnt really specify what you did do.

Sorry if i came off as insulting :( just trying to help :)

Have you ever ran Wireshark before?

If you feel like being adventurous i would run the game in windowed mode and start capturing when you select multiplayer and see what is coming up when you try to establish a connection with valve.

Here is what it should look like
(Valve IP may be different, do a whois on it to find out)
When connecting it contacts valve for some reason No. 66 (Not sure if its for authentication?) then it query's the Master Server (In my case 208.64.200.65) No. 67 & 68 then my computer established connections with the server list

Still tinkering. But an update came out today so maybe your problem is solved
