Simple Idea - Wall-Crawling Specimen/s

Like what I've said it's a wall-crawling type of specimen that can crawl onto walls and to the ceilings too. I really don't know if the unreal engine used in Killing Floor can support this one but this will definitely bring a new challenge to all if it's brought into the game. This just came to my mind after thinking that a flying specimen couldn't be possibly done :cool:

Yeah.

Both types can be done but require modifications to the maps in terms of path nodes. So it's not a quick implementation.


Believe that needs lots work too because alot round objects are textet to be box formed.
(hope i didnt say that wrong ^^,)

If that was easily implementable, crawlers would be doing it already.
It's not like they're not doing it because no one has suggested it before, that's for sure.

It's doable, but it isn't easy. For a starter, a lot of work would have to be done on every single map to make all the walls climbable. You also gotta make sure this new system isn't exploitable! Even regular ZED pathing proved to be exploitable, which needed a lot of work to get around. It's a repeated idea, and it is a good one, but it's just too much work.

Great that you actually use the search function... just that please edit the post next time so you aren't double posting.

As for the actual content in said posts... if KF goes monthly payments, I'm quitting. I don't care how good a game is ever, if it costs me more money than the initial investment, I'm not playing it. DLCs added later to the game, I'm still very sidelined as is on to hate or like it... generally that's more console-related though.

Exploitability of a wall crawling spec... well it certainly doesn't make the job of the mapper any easier! Likely it'd need to be implemented through whatever the mappers decide to make for paths.
