So... what about an animation in which when you type suicide in the console, your character blows his brains off? I don't think it has been done before =)

Boredom does incredible things.
There is one suicide animation in game already, just jump from 3rd floor and you will see it.
you can type is2 in the console and a giant:IS2: will smash you to pieces( it will fall from the sky, send from god himself of course)

Then what about the character getting a heart attack?
Heart attack is for decadent capitalist swine who eat "Twinkies", proud Soviet hero dies of liver failure!
That could be modeled as the slow death for the soviets, but heart attack goes well for the germans.

NAY. One should type "God" in the console and be hit by a falling god sent by the :IS2: itself!
IS2 would send a lowly tractor to crush a suicidal coward as sending anything more would be an insult to its power. IS2 does not condone cowardice. Soviet Soldier must drink more vodka and die fighting.
On topic, some type of animation would be good instead of just falling to the ground. Maybe it could be modeled as a sniper or stray bullet or a knife if the player did not have a weapon that could be used properly.
now if a new member had said that... and they have, the **** storm would of started. what would happen if you had no ammo? a nice long animation of you smacking you head into the ground?

Perhaps if the kill command was "kill" it would be better. In most games its kill, its also faster to type and it may be a little bit more politically correct.

Hell yes that'd be awesome, if a little messy. As for methods of suicide you could just run out into the open like a noob/average COD player and stand there, waiting. Then others could torture them by not shooting
Well, that's probably one of the best quick and painless ways out, hey no chances that your guy survived a self-inflicted headshot!
