I'm so tired of shooting a guy point blank and missing. I know I'm a much better shot, but I'm forced to use a machine gun just so I can hit someone. Maybe it's because my ping is at 150 or so. My FPS is 55-60. I know that's not bad but could it be better? Would overclocking increase my FPS?

Doubt it. Your computer specs are greater than mine and I can get 50-60 FPS. I don't think an overclock will help you much.

In RO2 players can get shot and "bandage up." a couple of times. You may just be wounding them.

What gun(s) are you using and at what range?

I wouldn't if I were you. Your eyes can't tell much of a difference if you fps is 60 or 80. There is no need to run the risk of burning out your cpu and/or decrease the life span of it.

The shots aren't hitting because your ping is 150. Your fps wouldn't have much to do with that. Try aiming ahead of the person more to compensate. I don't know where you live but playing on a lower pinged server would make your life much easier.

Great thanks for clairifing all this.
I'm in northern Canada, and mostly on a server in Chicago. It doesn't matter what gun I'm using, the bolts are far worse tho. I kinda thought it was my ping, ppl say ping has nothing to do with it unless you're 300+. I use deflection shooting as much as possble. Sometimes I'm firing at a guy hopping through a window and I still miss, he shoots once with a bolt and gets me lol! I guess I'll just have to try different techniques to compensate.
Thanks.
