My servers issues with downloading custom content:

Not sure if it was right before or right after 1.3 came out, but any time I would add custom content to the server it would show the item as being included in the Steam Workshop Tool tab listing, but the items never actually started to download despite everything I tried, how ever many server restarts, reinstalls. I followed the Dedicated RS2 server wiki to the T and nothing would get these items to download, which was odd because I did everything by the process I used to and never had issues with custom content.

Eventually I asked my provider, because another server host mentioned something about how they fixed it:

Bromley: " another host I know said that 'after investigating the issue with our hoster it came up that the SWS download will only work if the steam client and the game service is running by the same user on the server side'

*the server then started to download after he applied a fix*

Bromley: "what did you do to fix it?

Provider: "The only thing I did was copy over my client dlls to the server path, which allow for client functions. Please confirm.

These are the files Brad copied from his Steam client to your server:

vstdlib_s.dll
vstdlib_s64.dll

They were placed in the /Binaries/Win64 directory on the server."

I am experiencing the exact same issues as described by Bromley. At first I checked the Wiki at https://wiki.rs2vietnam.com/index.p...dex.php?title=RS2_DedicatedServer&redirect=noI to make sure my settings were correct. After that tried a fresh install of the server. I mentioned the issue on Discord earlier and Bromley was kind enough to reply with a message of hope and approach his provider to assist me. Then I also tried using the suggested fix supplied by his provider, but I didn't have all the files in the list mentioned by Brad and it did not fix the issue. I was missing tier0_.dll and vstdlib_s.dll amongst the files I copied from the RS2V clientfiles from my own system.

We use OVH, disabled their gamingfirewall, should have mentioned that as well..
