I purchased this game on steam around the time when it came out and it was functioning. But for the past few weeks or so I haven't been able to play in any multiplayer (online) servers. They just do not appear when I search for them. Any ideas?

There are already several messages writtin about the same case.
Did you a search on the forum?

- which firewall do you have?

- delete your ro2 folder of my documents / my games

- delete clientregistryblob from your steam folder.

- your pc specs ?

The only way I can play is by tabbing out of my game and using the Steam view menu in the top right corner of the application and then looking up servers through that, just click servers and then filter them down to red orchestra 2 and join.

Until Tripwire work this out it's currently the only workaround for me.

@Rorgefort - Thank you! This actually works.

@The Beast - I don't think specs or firewall are an issue because the server-search was working before. I tried deleting ro2 folder in my documents and deleting clientregistryblob in steam folder but those did not help.

Thank you.

Do you have any filters in your server browser? Try turning off all filters and see if that shows you any servers.

Hi redeye!

Seeing as my workaround did the job for this guy it seems our problems are identical.

The server browser simply does not function correctly for us, I have no filters on for sure.

In an attempt to fix it I have:

Double checked that steam and RO:2 are allowed through windows firewall.

Manually port-forwarded the RO:2 ports.

Downloaded the thomson modifed files from steam (even though my router is a Netgear N150/DGN100 and is fine with all other multiplayer games I own)

Deleted the folders in my documents/my games and the client registry blob.

Completely re-installed the game.

I only started playing around a week ago but from other posts it sound like this issue has popped up from nowhere and people seemed to experience similar issues in the beta too but they have cropped up again.

Hope that has helped a bit in showing the nature of the problem.

Cheers

I usually have the "no empty servers" filter on...But if I take it off, or just reset filters it does not change anything. It still tells me that 2000 players (for example) are playing but 0 servers are found.

However I can find RO2 servers through steam just fine.

I have the same problem and have since the beta I've given up all hope of a cure! I just use the steam browser as that works fine but annoying.

Server browser has been working for me until yesterday. Don't know if it was pre-15th patch or not though.

Now, only favorites and recently played display any servers - with or without filters.

Ranked and unranked have zero servers, although game reports # of players online on both these displays.

EDIT: Spoke too hastily. Got rid of *.blob:s, deleted those two *.ini:s and all is well. However, it took some 30 seconds for server browser to even start to populate. 354 players online - all time low?
