the longer you put the beta off the less content there is going to be out there for people to watch. The amount of high quality captures of the game is..... well non existant , its all off screen capture
seriously there is no better way to advertise then a beta

When reading the FAQ it is clear that the release of the game is posponed, not all beta stuff and such.
FAQ: So people understand, internally no dates are being pushed back. Everything will still be finished to the same dates as for the original release date. What we are doing is buying ourselves 2 extra weeks of QA and bug-fix time.

Tripwire has said this a few times. The Beta is not the kind of beta that other companies like EA & Activision do where you basically play a demo version. The RO2 Beta will be used most of the time as a stress test and find bugs that you only see when a lot of people are playing it.
You don't get it, they don't want to advertise it, that would be too much work, even releasing a beta, whoa what a hassle.
