Once again, painfully strung out episodes...at least there were more zombies this time!

It really gets my goat as to how they introduce stuff into the plot - and then it's completely stupid when they do.

Lori goes off on her own, without telling anyone (who in their right mind would do that, in the middle of a zombie apocalypse - pregnant mothers apparently, very irresponsible demographic), then has a car crash on a perfectly sunny day, driving down a straight open road because she's looking at a map whilst she's driving...? Then after her accident decides to keep on walking down the strange road in the unfamiliar countryside at night instead of walking back to the farm.

Then somehow (and for some reason) after the chaps get out of the bar and rip that guys leg off a fence spike (you'll recall the sun set not long before this) - it takes them until dawn to drive back to the farm?

I'm still amazed given the wealth of source material that the writers keep doing things like that.

This one was indeed pretty good. Finally characters behaving in ways that make sense.

Ahh, my opinion differs here. Yes, I agree the episode was pretty good, but they keep having the characters do idiotic things that just don't make sense.
Spoiler!

@ REZ, I noticed that Shane used his knife to cut his hand in the bus, and as far as I'm concerned, its implied he stabbed the zombie at the gate, wouldn't that infect him?

Also enjoying the more upbeat portion of the season.

Someone on another forum brought up the point of how silly it is for them to use knives to kill zombies, and I completely agree. I mean, it shouldn't be too hard to find axes, machetes, or if one gets really lucky, even swords.

In any case, I quickly made this illustration:

I dunno, if it's me I'd want to kill them with the least amount of noise and blood splatter, while also keeping them at the farthest distance. Melee weapons just don't make a lot of sense unless you've lived carelessly and allowed them to get that close to you (or you live in a TV show :D).

Bats, axes, crowbars, machetes would all be a better option than having to get in so close with a knife, but they are compact and easier to carry.
