Sept 4 Beta Update- Server Issue

With this beta update we have found that updated servers are NOT being displayed in the server browser. To connect to a server before we get this fixed please do one of the following:

1) Join an IP listed here by a fellow tester or server host!

2) Join via your recently played list

3) Join via your friends list to those already playing

4) Join via steam friends list to those already playing

We are looking into this issue now. Once again thank you for your patience in this beta.

Any news about the CRASHING?

Its NOT related to memory or number of players as you said earlier. Its more related to sound if anything weve deducted so far. Loads of People who are crashing have high end pc's.

Open the console by hitting the "`" (tilde) button

then type "open 24.77.33.94"

then hit <enter>

I can join find the servers just fine, its the crashing before they load that prevents me from playing. Wish you guys luck with the issue hunting! Don't work TOO hard on the holiday weekend.

Not working for me, tried to join several servers and it just gets stuck on the loading part. Have to press F10 to go back to menu...

Thankfully I had some servers in favorites. They appear there without problems

When I try and connect via IP, it does the loading screen as normal but has "PAUSED" in blue in the middle of the screen for some reason, and then it quits back to the empty Server Browser saying "Connection to host lost" (or something along those lines.

Anyone else getting this "PAUSED" thing?

You cannot join the match because the server has downloadable content you do not.


or something of the like.

In the entire list of servers, none of them have any players so I assume this is the same for all of us?

the maps changed, we no longer have, in our clients, the maps those servers are hosting. that what the "downloadable content" part means

Still, joining to servers and few seconds after game crashes. Even if they have like 3-4 players in it.

Every single server loaded in the queue (read: 40 of them) is sitting empty because the maps changed. And now we have new maps. I get that.

Why the servers WITH the new maps aren't showing is another matter which hasn't been addressed.

For what it's worth I was able to join that server for which the was IP posted earlier in this thread. They are up and running, just not visable within the in-game browser.

By the bye, the new maps are fantastic. Keep up the good work with the Beta. No whinging here, I'm just happy to be playing.

This http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112556 application may be of use to people. It makes 32-bit .EXE's large address aware.

Point the program to your RO2 .EXE. I enabled it for RO2 - used to crash on Barracks within 10mins of play now no crashes at all. I also lowered my Shadows settings from Ultra to High.

Someone told me to just click the "Recently Played" tab on the server browser and most of the servers I frequent are updated with the new maps, so maybe that would work for you too.
