KF Secondary for support ?

I don't really see what role would it fit. Support can already carry a lot of stuff as secondary weapons.

At first I was like "What the heck is that thing?!" Then I looked more carefully and realized its just some weird MP7 shotgun thingamajig. Its neat and something I've never seen before though I don't see much use as the HSG-12 is super boss at a secondary shotgun. If it became some medic gun shotgun that gets support perk bonuses and medic perk bonuses I would be all for it.

The Serbu Super Shorty could work as a "Cheap as Dirt" Tier weapon for Supports.

Did I miss the point, but the PSG is already dirt cheap.


And if you're making it so it can be carried with a low-tier SG and high-tier SG, it needs to be worse than the PSG, and I'm not sure how you'd nerf that without making it useless.

2 shells in the tube + 1 racked in the chamber, wider pellet spread due to the shorter barrel. There you go. This is for the benefit of Support Specialists just starting out, and as a light shotgun to off-perk with.

Maybe it would have some novelty value if it could be dual-wielded.

And even the best of shotguns are total crap offperk in KF, due to their lack of any penetration whatsoever and game's dependency on headshots. Maaaaybe hunting shotgun for a tanking medic... it's the only offperk shotgun loadout I can think of, that makes any sense whatsoever.

Now, a low-power shotgun with a small mag? We got a whitelisted Moss12 mutator already, that beautifully illustrates that offperk or even in the hands of support, such thing is just completely useless. The only good thing about it was free 450 dosh on selling.

Why would someone ever equip a shotgun that holds three shells with wide spread? Especially off-perk? If the mobs are that close, where the wide spread would be somewhat effective, who would even think about using an off-perk weapon?

It's a fact that there's no shotgun with a low weight like 4 or 3. It makes sense of course. But as an off-perk weapon 6 is way too heavy. I think a little or weak shotgun could be a nice addition. This weapon looks like it may fit the role well.

Maybe that's just me though... the only time I consider doing it is taking the HS as a firebug to alt fire stuff crowds with husks leading the way.

If a combat shottie seems weak when used offperk I cannot imagine how pointless a 3 block version of a shottie would be.

Just my two cents.

To be honest I'd not like to see TWI working on a (pre) tier 1 weapon. I think they have better ideas than that. As a mutator it would be alright and if it was whitelisted I'd like to try it on my server.

I see a lot of people with your view and to be honest, I personally disagree. I've gone around in HoE/Suicidal as a Medic with a Shotgun or HSG. They can be a little expensive for what a Medic should be going for but they are great for horde clearing. There is many alternatives but due to the penetration, you and someone else can clear a whole 10 zed stack infront of you. I do think they are a little underpowered to use off-perk and I would never advise to use this in solo but as a team game, it's def worth trying out if your team needs a bit more horde clearing done. I do however love the Hunting shotgun on the Medic.

On topic:
I personally find the Shotgun (standard pump action) is great. Not useful solo but great for helpping clear the hordes of zeds. Always line up a penetration shot to save ammo. For this reason, I don't think Support needs anymore shotguns because every single one has it's own spot and usefullness.

Guarding the Super Missile
I like the idea of a secondary shotgun, but the Support can use pistols galore, he just doesn't really have a perk secondary.
A sawed-off shotgun would make a nice secondary, being compact and all.

Gonna say it because no-doubt others are thinking it: that thing is extremely ugly.
It looks a lot better without the foregrip. One of my favorite weapons in Global Offensive.

Yeah, I kinda can't my wrap my head around that. Unperked shotgun deals 245 damage, provided all of the pellets hit the target. On HoE if 2 pellets go somewhere else, it can't even kill a clot. Gorefasts need 2 full shots to go down. Given that most times you don't fire from point blank range, and there's no penetration, you can actually empty whole mag in oncoming squad of zeds and still get slashed by gorefasts. Hunting shotgun is a little better in that aspect, while doing 500 unperked damage per shell, but who actually buys 10-block slow reloading, 2-shot weapon for 750, when mk23 solves all the trash-zed related problems for 500. Not to mention that crawlers have a nasty habit of ninja dodging the shotgun blasts.
