on the original workshop page, the scy-fy hoods appear like this:
while in-game, they appear like this:
it looks like there might be an issue with their specular map? as in it's reflecting too much light when it shouldn't be so it appears brighter

I made a small texture mod that darkens the _S texture of both the regular scy-fy hood and the armor hood, and it appears to bring it closer to the original workshop item images, like so:
to make these textures I made the _S textures pitch-black, then raised their brightness by 10 in Photoshop. these seem to match the workshop image perfectly, given the lighting in the workshop images is much less harsh than that of the gear menu.
