Pretty sure it does.
The husk isn't all bad, unless your on hard, or suicidal.
Just headshot it with a powerful gun, or pop its head with the xbow.

The Husk can blow up ANY type of explosive with its fireballs.

Yup. Including that Pipe Bomb that you JUST dropped right in front of you or those nades you just sent sailing towards him...

It's a pretty nasty counter for demomen when he explodes your bombs in your face AND catches you on fire!

It's pretty much required that a Berserker (Good luck finding a decent one these days...most of us have switched perks to something useful!) rushes him or a Sharpshooter pops his head off quick or he'll have half the team burning up faster than a medic can heal 'em...

Supports are only gonna get him up-close and he can take a surprising number of rounds from any Commando gun but the SCAR...

The Husk is officially on my sh!@ list!!!! They, above all, have found a special part in my heart that has now deemed them the most annoying thing on the planet. Even more so than the crawlers and sirens. Let me tell you why:

Playing waterworks, doing just fine for the first few rounds. I see a clump of clots and a few Husk, the Husk are firing their fireballs, blah blah, so I ready to throw a nade in the group of Zeds, thing is, as soon as I toss it, it blows up in my face, causing me to blow up, and die. At first I thought some one else just shot their nade launcher too close, which blew up my nade. So I let it pass. But the same thing happened again, but this time I saw it. I saw the damn fireball hit my nade which caused it to blow up in my face, which then lead me to curse soooo much, my neighbor knocked on my door to see what was wrong.

Of course I say this in all good nature, not bashing the Husk at all. I'm glad that we have a new threat in the game, it just irritates me that the Husk does his job a little too well sometimes.
Shooting a husk in the face is superior to throwing grenades.
Selective fire and priority targets, take out husks before engaging mobs.

If you hit him with a crossbow or a grenade during his charge-up, he stuns and gives you a chance to take him down at range

At first I disliked the husk cause he always scared the hell outta me...well he still does if he spawns x2 on the roof in offices while on hard but I've gotten the habit if I hear his lil fire-launcher goin' off I tend to bunny hop to the side. OH and also..You can jump over his shot of fire lol. It's fun =D

The husk seems to have pretty good damage resistance to its body, but that little glowy thingy in its mouth acts like its self destruct button. Press it few times with any weapon and he dies.

I'll have to try this, but it makes sense. Tripwire likes to leave distinct weaknesses (FP decaps, Scrake Stuns, ect). It'd be fun to be able to take one down with an autofire burst at close range instead of frantically spraying it's head.

Ugh...they drive me bonkers as a medic. As soon as folks get hit, they want you to spam healing on them. But when you do, the burn damage all-but-cancels your heal, so you really have to wait for the fire to go out first to see any health increase. But by that time, they've freaked out, thinking you're not healing them, spammed self-healing instead of fighting, and have enemies surrounding them...death usually follows soon.

That and the fact that it burns MULTIPLE people. I can pop a heal dart in each person for up to 3 people, but it totally drains the gun and, like I said, only cancels the burn damage. So them I'm stuck either waiting for the gun to recharge of getting the syringe and chasing down people for heals...

Because NO ONE stands still enough to get med-dart healed, even when they see you aiming at them...*Facepalm*
