That would be System Shock 1 (1994), running in Windows XP without emulation (except for sound emulation) and at 800x600. Pwn.

I too like the replacement models you can download for SS2. Looking at those screens though reminded me of my biggest immersion killer in SS2: the friggin guns don't even remotely point where the crosshair is at.

I just remembered Duke having a different HUD. For about 3 months Duke Nukem was the the only game I played when I was 7, sooo many fond memories. Shadow Warrior was pretty good too.

What ever happened to gore in Tom Clancy games? Ghost Recon even had exist wounds! This guy got shot in the front chest with a SAW.

When it's just a two man team skulking through the swamps of Lithuania with suppressed MP5's, surrounded by Russian Federation troops everywhere, even she-man Susan Gray can become attractive.
