The terrian does look higher res than LOMAC. I still need DCS Black Shark... but this seems more appealing to me.
A-10 is standalone, correct?
The graphics are vastly improved. Even the grass on terrain is rendered now, and as you can see from my last shot, the cities glow during the night. There's also HDR effects and normal maps implemented. My shots don't do justice to the graphics because they're heavily compressed.
Beware though, the A-10C takes time to learn because of all the systems, but step-by-step training included makes it no problem. Very well worth the 60$.
I am aware of the long learning curve. Hopefully it won't be too bad.
Did DCS Black Shark get all of the engine updates that came with A-10? I'll go to Best Buy sometime this week and see if I can find a box of Black Shark. Apparently it went up from $30 to $64 on Amazon...

And yes, that site is perfectly legal. The games on that site are no longer being sold so it's okay to download them.EDIT: actually, now that I'm browsing through that site again it seems that quite a few of the really good ones are no longer available for download. Oh well, at least there's still PoP, Police Quest and the first Larry along with a few other nice ones.

I had a game, that sucked technically, but was awesome in concept. Too sad my disc died years ago. "Muzzle Velocity", you could move your units like a normal rts game (no resources, but points to "buy" units, like in close combat), then select an unit (tank, soldier, apc) and jum in in first person view

You'll need an Atari 800 or Commodore 64 emulator to play the original Wolfenstein.
