Why is it an serverside option? Having the crosshairs isn't an serverside option while the death messages and scoreboard are? IRL they didn't had those so get rid of it. Now most of the servers have them on (is it a standard option on or off?.
RO is a game that is differend from all the First person shooters I have played but why do you still have those typical things? It even supports teamplay if they are both off!

Please TW do something about it. Make this thing right before the next update!

Unfortunately, it's still a game, and as long as it's a game, people are going to be concerned about their score.

In my personal opinion, a personal scoreboard should be displayed at the end of the round.

But there have been many topics on this, and they all seem futile.

You can't have a 100% realistic experience in a game. Realistically you would know your fellow soldiers name and what they looked like, but games are limited to online avatars so it makes more sense to know who the people you are playing with are. With compulsory no death messages or score boards, players would be free to abuse the game in annonymity

It is pointless to make it compulsory. If you want to play with no scoreboards find a server that has it turned off. If you can't find any servers that tells you the majority of people want to see scores, so I think trying to impose your will on other players is stupid and futile.

The scoreboard encourages teamplay, so I don't know what the issue is here.

Ex. I see that person A has 2 points. I start yelling at person A to move his ass. Person A is now more productive.

The only reason I go with having the kill messages is because there are SO many retard Tkers and you need to know who they are. I could do without the scoreboard though. Every game that uses it gets the statwhores and it doesn't promote teamwork. People are more worried about their own score vs the team's score. The individual score in here doesn't actually show how much good someone is doing, not all the time.

I like my scoreboard and death messages.

That being said, if it was made so that each individual user could choose whether they see the scores and death messages rather than searching for servers running them/disabling them, I wouldnt have a problem. My problem rises when I am "forced" to play without the fun game aspects I like (server settings).

If players dont want to see the death messages, there should be a hud setting to disable them. Then those of use who like it can leave ours on.

As has been said before, in real life you would know the names of the men around you - you would communicate frequently, relaying positions of the enemy - you would fear for your life. You can't simulate any of those in a videogame, so certain "cheat" measures have to be put in place, such as the scoreboard, death messages and "reinforcements" count. Crosshairs are different - you have the iron sights, so you have a way to properly aim, so the unrealistic crosshairs aren't needed.
