I think you should crap your pants when the meter is full. Then have a voice play saying "ich... ich schiessen mein hosen" and what ever it is in Russian.

I wouldn't like it all the time, but it would make a funny mutator.

Perhaps if you were an elite trooper (Waffen-SS or Red Guard) that you wouldn't suffer from such behavior. Perhaps you could drink alcohol and not get scared but maybe too drunk to shoot straight.

But still kind of a bit annoying if every server was like this...

only if they add zombies. How cool would that be for example on kauk, as a russky running to reinforce through the catacombs when all those dead medieval monks rise and feast on the living. Then the germans are coming up the hill when the monestery just erupts wth russkys fleeing for their lives. followed close by the shambling dead. Or baksan. the atmosphere there is perfect.

Scare meter fails.

But this idea is funny. Sounds like "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" Remember the crypt portion? That was some cool stuff.

While obviously the running away part was stupid the first part wasnt a terrible idea was stupid but your aim getting worse as bullets come close then taking bit of time to go back to normal aim isnt a bad idea and could do wonders for mgs and suppression cos lets face as it stands we have lone rifle men successfully killing mgs even when the mg is firing right on his position.

Same for Waffen SS. Being fanatical or receiving the lastest gear/weapons doesn't make you elite.

True. Many times Waffen SS troops fought very stupidly and suffered a lot of casualties, because of their fanatism. They sure were ready to sacrifice theirselves to "greater cause". If I remember correctly in Georg H. Stein

Fear can sometimes be a useful emotion.

For instance, let's say you're an astronaught on the moon and you fear that your partner has been turned into Dracula. The next time he goes out for the moon pieces, wham!, you just slam the door behind him and blast off. He might call you on the radio and say he's not Dracula, but you just say, "Think again, bat man."

QFT.
The suppression issue was addressed before and this is not a bad solution
If something like this is implemented MGs will gain a new tactical meaning in RO, closer to the one they have in RL!
