I was lvl 9 and when I opened game, my save wasn't there

In order to keep KF2's data safe, including perk levels, you have to enable cloud saves prior to data loss. This is done manually:

If Epic Games promt you to recover data from local saves (files that are stored on your computer) do not use those, they could be corrupt or empty. Situations such as power outages or sudden disconnects from the internet are known to corrupt local saves.

EDIT: Just realised this is the maneater forum but the principle is the same. Just make sure there are no client-side connection issues at hand, or backup software hijacking maneater folders or epic games files (e.g OneDrive or GoogleDrive.)

my cloud saves were on and I did everything in my power to retrieve it but it STILL WASN'T THERE. It just vanished, please fix it

this **** doesn't work as its already enabled, i lost 2 saves already. I am pissed af right now. fix ur game

Completely disabling cloud saves for Maneater in Epic launcher seemed to work for me. It forces the game to use local save.

I completely agree with this. I played all day today, got up to level 30 and then I quit to take a break. When I started the game again there were no save games, even though cloud saving is enabled. The game itself is great but I probably won't be playing it again because of this. What a waste.

I had the same problem, i followed @Darius_6's suggestion and it seems to have worked, starting the game anew also didnt delete the files. After re-enabling Cloud save, it seems to not inferfere with the save anymore.
