Because HoS is going to have fully modeled bullet penetration, sandbags are going to be one of the best forms of cover, as they can stop almost all kinds of small arms fire.

That being said, shouldn't sandbags be destructible with explosives? If a grenade that uses concussive force lands right in front of a sandbag wall, it should obliterate it. Frag nades probably shouldn't damage sandbags much, but potato mashers, satchel charges, or tank rounds should all take out a sandbag fortification.

Discuss.

Tank rounds, yes, due to massive KE. Satchel charge, maybe, depending on size. Grenades (including potato mashers), probably not.

Grenades have only a very, very small explosive charge, really just enough to burst the casing and make shrapnel. Not enough to do massive shock damage to structures.

Sandbags and such are more likely to survive explosives for basically thes ame reason they're likely to survive bullets. Eventually, of course, when the bags get beaten around enough, they'll be shredded and the sand will just leak out into piles.

I think tanks should be able to crush or damage the sandbad depending on how they are set up.

Definitely tanks should be able to crush cover/roll over it as long as it isn't too tall/something metal and solid (e.g. tank traps, pile of rubble and girders)

Hate to use the word epic but, tank rolling towards 3 guys hiding behind sandbag nest being suppressed by hull MG...

All tanks will roll over you if you make your foxhole to the right specifications. Make it to wide however and you will be crushed like so much meat. If the tank had the luxury of time without worrying about enemy AT fire they could often turn one of their tracks above the foxhole and keep turning in circles and crush the men below them. Pretty horrible way to die.

It wouldn't really climb up the sandbags, it would knock them down and crush whoever was underneath and behind them.
