there is more hype for ro then there was for killing floor and killing floor has sold how many copies so far? 400k?
I personally expect that long term sales will be in the 600k-1 million region.

I think around 2.5 million in 12 months. With rolled up sleeves easily 3 million :IS2:

I wish I could invest in TWI... but it's a LLC. No stock. :(

I will most definitely be telling every body I know about this game. I am going to try my damndest to get as many of my friends to buy it as I can.

In fact, we are going to attempt a LAN party this summer, for another new game coming out. By then HOS should be out, and I will try to convince as many of them to get it. :IS2:

I dont think it will sell super good initially. As in the end HOS won't get marketing of the levels of EA or Activisions pr teams. But the support and updates will eventually draw in a lot more people. So you'll likely see people buy it over a long time span.

The main point of advertising for TWI has always been word of mouth. And I think that it will be the same for HOS.
I agree. I think RO2 will start off slow, but pick up steam over time.

I have a feeling it will be referred to as a "sleeper hit" that alot of gamers didn't see coming but will gradually gain a big following.

That's a good thing, games and the stockmarket do not good bedfellows make, trust me..

Yeah, though not as slow as Ost did, Ro2 has considderably more buzz surrounding it, so i fully expect it will move more copies on release.

But word of mouth, as is often the case, will be the real bread winner, and i'd expect to see Ro2 selling copies long after it's initial release, like Ost did, only more so, because Ost had more limited appeal (a ton of people never got past the learning curve and actually started playing it propperly, they just got frustrated and said "Nuts to this!", and probably told all their freinds to avoid it, Ro2 should do much better here).

Imediate sales go - Be profitiable and sell more copies of the game than it cost to make! If we can do like we did in RO 1 and cover this in pre-order sales I think we'll be really happy :)

Long Term Sales goal - Like with all our games, make a profit so all the developers are happy and the company is happy and reinvesting in the next awesome Tripwire title.

you should open pre orders on steam then.
