Hello!
I did have RO2 beta, and then bought RO2 Deluxe Digital Edition.
When now playing, the russian campaing is still locked. I have deleted beta version, but that did not make any diffrence. Any ideas?

Only reason i say that though some might find this odd is that some people, including myself, don't feel right war-gaming on the axis side for reasons i think speak for themselves. Though who are just playing a game it doesn't matter too and that's fine but for myself no. So if anyone has a way to unlock this without going through the axis one that would be great. thanks,

Been diving through some of the files but havnt found it yet

At the same time it's amazing that they include an Axis campaign and baffling that they would require you to play through it. I guess you could just think of it as a tutorial.

And frankly, from what I saw, it's better than the Russian campaign. If you thought the mechanics of offensive maps were dumb where you can always wait for reinforcements, wait til you get to the defensive Russian maps where nothing you do until the last point matters.

Well, I suppose you could always use the console to skip the whole German campaign if you so wish, but then you will miss a lot of fun with the game.
Anyway, open the console at the main menu and type open SP-1_Spartanovka_Sov

There is nothing nazi with the German campaign, no die-hard Waffen-SS soldiers, only regular grunts from the Wehrmacht... nothing else

the story actually goes with it.. you s hould play through instead of skipping it.. germans think they are gonna win or something then you start the russian campaign.. I haven't finished the russian yet as I like playing Axis.

You won't have to commit any war crimes during the German campaign, so I'd give it a try. I'm also not a great fan of the red army, but I played through the Russian campaign on any difficulty and it's a bit harder too. - Except the Pavlov's House mission, it's way to easy when you play as a Russian machine gunner.

But you do feel "right" war-gaming as the most evil freedom oppressing regime that ever walked the Earth, responsible for the Katyn massacre, Holodomor massacre, NKVD's massacres, Gulags, the deaths of multi-millions of people, and God knows what else...

"Who was worse, the nazis or the commies?" -That's a pointless discussion.

There is no true objection for playing the one or the other side.

No difference between Hitler and Stalin - Both Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan and the USSR have committed some of the worst crimes against humanity in the 20th Century.

I think the hole discussion is pointless. It's only a game(!) and as already mentioned, the campaign is only about the battle and there is no side story at all.
