Hm.
Right now I'm completely stuck on what to do to fix this. Tried recooking, deleting packages, shader cache, re-re-cooking. and I guess that didn't work.

Any chance someone has a tip that worked for you to get your content back up after the update?

Textures seemed to be loading fine up until TI's recent update.
Was reading around and saw that I should recook the map for textures to show up properly after this update.
Unfortunately, after doing so, everything still defaults to the white and blue default engine material when in RS.
Went back into the editor, made sure I had no map errors, recached materials, loaded packages, didn't save any packages while cooking, recooked, deleted shader caches, recooked again, but the textures still don't load up in cooked map while in game.

Made repeated attempts to run this on the Crucible server today.
Repeated server crashes on load were the result. Can't put this
one in the line-up until a server can prove a stable load. I'll
keep paying attention to progress with Wake. And I'm willing
to try any future update. But if it blows up the server, we
can't host it. Try and formulate an .ini file to go with the server
content.

Dark, I'm gonna give it to you straight. I just got WakeIsland operational on Crucible. All I can say is: Not ready for prime time. I'm not being snarky. I ran into blue and white tiles, and the most basic type of topography. If I put this on Crucible in it's current condition, I'm sure that my superiors would fly in on a plane, come to my door and beat me with trunchions. I'll work with you. I promise. But this work is not even at alpha stage.

I really appreciate the honest feedback.

I guess I did jump the gun with this. I'll prepare some serious improvements and we can try this later down the road if you're okay with that.

Guy look, I've made a sincere pledge to mappers. Give me something to work with and I'll stick my neck out a mile. Don't be discouraged. Many of the high profile mappers have taken a new guy under their wing and given them valuable help. Talk to them. Message them. There is a wealth of knowledge here. Take advantage of it. I'll work with mappers until I'm exhausted. But LEARN from them. You'll do ok, Just learn a little more. I'm on your side.

I seem to be having a problem getting thte map to show up on the server.

Is the *.ini file correct ?

Edit update - yep something not right with the *.ini file shipped. Rewrote one and its appearing in the server map list.

Thanks for the rewrite. Currently uploading an updated .rar with a new .ini. Hopefully it fixes this for the future.

Little curious about the server you mentioned, so I have to ask, what's the name or IP?. I'm eager to see this played by humans so I can make improvements.

It's called Aussie / NZ. however I had to pull it because it lacked textures. But as soon as its ready it will be up on the server. We are totally behind you mappers at Aussie / NZ.

Boy, this map is light years better now than the last time I ran it. Everything at least looks good. I did not spend a lot of time with it yet, so I can't vouch pro or con about play behavior. The only thing I noticed was that at times the stated objectives were not marked on the map tool. I'm sure this will be corrected. So anyway it load tested from the re-direct fine. I'm convinced the public can successfully acquire and play the map at this point. So I'll leave it in rotation on Crucible for folks to choose if they wish. I'll probably feature it on tomorrow's OGG event unless something that proves it unplayable is discovered.
