There are far less tasteful uniforms from the era he could've chosen from... and at least it's more accurate than Prince Harry's dreadful attempt.

Acting in a WW2 movie while being well-known actor (Tom Cruise E.G.) - the guy is not a nazi.
Re-enacting in public and people don't often consider you being one.
Be non-actor but otherwise more or less known person who dresses up like a general = nazi.
