But that is a completely different matter bswearer. What purpose is there for a TWI employee to say something like that about an estimated release "date" if there is no truth to it? Do you think it was a lie? Why would they lie?
it's not a different matter at all.....it's highlighting the same idea that they may say things that aren't always 100% truthful. whether that be to improve their image, cover up things that might put them in bad light, or simply just to keep us more in the dark so that they can stick to their agenda (should they actually have it planned out), it's not always being completely honest.
take for instance last year around April when somebody linked up the thread in those WWII gun forums where a TW rep was asking for g41 references and was quoted stating that RO2 would "be out next year (2011)".....giving the mods/admins the benefit of the doubt that the deletion of the posts on this forum were deleted "by accident", when community members brought up the info looking for clarification as to whether or not the game would be out in 2010, TW's response was vague and continuously dodged having to give a definitive answer. were we being lied to? in a sense yes because the truth wasn't acknowledged until about a month later.
again it's not to bash TW but just to point out that everything is not always what it seems to be.....even from "official" sources, it's sometimes still best to take statements with a grain of salt. it's quite understandable as it's all part of the business to intentionally withhold information and/or mislead consumers with seemingly "false" information.
