Simple: because I had to reduce the video to half size to reduce the size of the video for YouTube. Full version of fraps lets you choose full size or half size when capturing a video. It also lets you pick what frame rate max you want. I used 60 as I figured that is smooth fluid game play. The video was still recorded from my monitors native resolution of 1680x1050. I didn't change or lower settings to record. Matter of fact I can't..my 22 inch LCD monitor dosen't like anything lower then 1680x1050...
You don't understand...a half-size capture of a game running on a 16:10 resolution is still going to be 16:10. It won't magically adjust it to 4:3 ...
which leads me to believe that your game wasn't running at 16:10 (i.e. 1680x1050) in the first place.
