[Question] RO2/RS running poorly on ATI R9 270X

I have noticed that this game runs perfectly on Nvidia graphics cards, but performs poorly on ATI, R9 series at least, regardless if latest non-beta or beta drivers are used.

With R9 260 and R9 270X, released in 2013, the game struggles to keep 60 fps, often dropping to 40. R9 270X runs BF3 without ever dropping a frame on Ultra details.

On the other hand, a Nvidia GTX 260, released in 2009, excels in RO2, running constantly on 60 fps, without dropping on high details.

Is this common or what?

What CPU? AMD drivers have significantly higher overhead than Nvidia drivers in pre-DX12 games.

I'm on an HD 7850 2 GB with a Core i5-3570k @ 4.2 GHz and can confirm this game likes to drop into the 30's~40's with low GPU utilization, meaning there is definitely a CPU bottleneck.
It's a shame that AMD users have to suffer like that, but looking at KF2 and all the NVidia stuff it features it's no surprise.
