... and you will have to install all of the updates from Steam anyways. ;)

If there are DVDs physically sitting on store shelves the build of the game is probably at least a week old. If you look at the change logs for the recent patches you will know that there will be a lot of downloading to do regardless.

The DVD doesn't have the game code on it at all, if I understand correctly. It only has assets like textures etc on it. So the DVD being in stores already has nothing to do with the age of the build which is still in development and can only be downloaded at launch.

The boxed version will never have more than it does now: textures and some stuff that will speed up the inevitable steam download after it is installed. It will never have a "current full version" on disc.

The only advantage of a boxed version (as usual) would presumably be a printed manual... if it has that.

I guess that answered Lethalls question. :D

Yeah .. at least we have a community willing to answer questions.

I picked up my copy from Best Buy, began installation and was asked for my key which was accepted. Everything was verified through steam, but then gave a message "Can't be installed"

No reason given, just that message.
The game shows up in my steam library but won't install from there either.
Sure hope it is just because I have to wait until tomorrow, but it would be nice to receive some form of message.
