I like the $40 price point too. I seem to recall $40 getting you a very good game back in '99 (Unreal Tournament) ... the hayday of PC gaming. RO2 will bring the next golden age.

Apparently the 50 posts before now in which people in the know (i.e. Alan) and other people have repeated that it will NOT be converted like that have utterly failed to make any impression on your pre-conceptions.

Could've done without the smartassery, but that'll suffice.

Not me, it's the air that I breathe ;)

Anyways, how you doing? it's been a long time. :)

At least you remembered me! I am doing well, our clan is looking forward to getting involved in RO again once RO2 is out!
You've got a realism unit planned for Rising Storm? :D

Keep in mind, if $39.99 is the regular MSRP, there may also be preorder discounts and possibly other sales.

Regardless, at the $39.99, its a steal :D

That's a great Wilco song.

will my computer be able to run it?

Win 7
2 GB RAM, 512 video RAM
Geforce 8600.
Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 Duo 6300@1.86GHz 1.87GHz SPU

I can almost guarantee you that it won't. That graphics card won't cut it for sure, and that processor is going to struggle with the amount of ballistics calculations and damage models that will surely be in this game. Put it this way, you are well below the minimum specs currently listed on Steam. Even if those are unofficial, it's still a good guideline for the bottom end. It mioght as well read: "If this is all you have, OK go ahead and buy it but don't be surprised when you are completely frustrated and wind up purchasing a new rig."

At least for the graphics, try downloading the Batman Arkham Asylum demo. That's the UE3 engine, but it's probably not as CPU intensive as ROHoS will be with ballistics & damage modeling.
