Secondly, the ONLY disappointment for me was that I didn't order the DDE because my son is deploying to Afghanistan on the 29th and I was going to be traveling from the 25th through the 30th to see him off. Figured I'd miss a bunch of the "early access" so I bagged it. Hmmmm, wonder if I can change that pre-order now...

You can, just email Steam support and ask them to get a refund, then just buy the DDE. Since the game hasn't been released yet, they'll most likely give you a refund.

I'm a bit disappointed with the release being pushed back, but if it will result in a better product, then I suppose that it's alright. I just wish the beta would come sooner, as there's really no other games that interest me right now

First off, I gotta say that I am a bit amazed by some of the ungrateful responses in this thread. Really. If you guys had been out there playing other games you would KNOW FOR A FACT that playing a buggy game at release will FOREVER taint the game's credibility. Relax and give these guys a break. Yes, this is the age of the internet, however the internet does not revolve around YOU.

If you feel angry at tripwire and are demanding money back or some sort of compensation, I hope they refund you the game and you never look back.

People complain when blizzard delays their games but in the end thank them for doing it.

Let's hope we get Closed Beta soon to help iron out some more bugs so when it does release it gets rave reviews and the community benefits.

I can understand TWI's point of view but this put's some major concern for me. Now the release date will most likely be directly competing with the BF3 Beta which is set in september.. Hopefully that comes at the end of Sep otherwise there is going to be a huge distraction for the general player base.

Sure, I am slightly disappointed in a way... However to me this shows a positive level of logic from the developer that, well ... I don't think we new comers are used to seeing.

This release may blast open the doors for this studio... In my distant opinion, it looks like they want it to be done right.

I just hope they pay a magnitude or so more in attention if and when one of these huge studios ever decides to try and contract and consume them.

Hope it doesn't screw sales and people stay patient because the BF3 beta supposedly starts in September as well as a bunch of other games being released.

And of all things it is this thread that brings me back to the TWI forums. I couldn't help but hear the crying and whining from the forum limbo in which I have slumbered these past two years.

I have very fond memories of these forums and this community from back in the day going back to the mod days I see TWI has been trying to attract some new players to the community, and given the blatant disrespect and arrogance I have seen in this thread, i dare say they are here in force. But its ok, we'll make respectful forum members of you yet

As for the news, delays are always disappointing but inevitable, and in this case I fully support TWI and good call on the polish, I think this game is a big break for you guys, and I wish you the best of luck on the way to release, keep on :IS2: gents!!
