Apparently this works to get into Caspian Border servers without the password (wouldn't know, I can't be bothered with this 'beta'):

how to play caspian border.
download google crome ( if u dont have it allready)

open up the battleblog server browser and search from caspian border maps

click join server
when the server password pops up..

***IMPORTANT***

right click the page and click view elements
when it pops up click the *CONSOLE* button
then type in this code
Code:
launcher.verifyPassword = function(game, gameServerGuid, plaintextPassword, callback) { callback(true); }

then click the Submit button on the passoword section

Of course, this only works because DICE couldn't be bothered to program a proper in-game server browser.

The irony here is that BF3 is made on an engine that was built to take advantage of PC's and their power while RO2 is on the most console-port friendly engine ever known to man with Unreal Engine 3

I'm playing BF3 now because I get 80-120 FPS in that game and it's stressing out my PC, while in Ro2 i get to look at 40-50 FPS while my PC works at 20% capacity.

I wanted to love this game, but the crappy engine they're using doesn't want me to.
I dont know what battlefield3 you are playing but the one everybody else is playing was made with the frostbite engine. "frostbite" is a 4 year old engine that was made specificaly for consoles only. Battlefield 3 is made with frostbite 2.0 which looks worse than the previous frostbite and its still a console engine and they are still using it to make battlefield 3 for xbox and PS3. BF3 was all a bunch of hype marketed with a multi million doller hype campaign. Dice (sellouts) and EA should have used more of that money for development. As it looks now, BF3 looks like it was made while the dice developers were drunk or high on something. It's that bad. Everyone on the BF3 forums are compalining about how bad their $500 vid.cards are performing in that game. Its way worse than RO2. On an average BF3 game, you spend half the time walking under the map like your in a parrallel sci-fi dimention. Like i said, those guys at dice are smoking something and it aint legal.

Link to back up your assertion?

Screenshots comparing the two? Be sure to include equal resolutions and comparable details.

Everyone on the BF3 forums are compalining about how bad their $500 vid.cards are performing in that game.

Everyone? I can point you to plenty of posts praising how well the game runs.

I've experienced these bugs, but half the time? On an "average" game? Do you have any statistics to back this up?

i'm really sad to see how Bf3 turned out. Kids will be happy they can put a scope on anything because scopes are so cool!

I just got done playing BF3, and I'm not touching it again until release (I guess I'll keep my preorder). Personally, I was very disappointed.

RO2's gunplay is so much more solid. BF3 felt so clunky, like a console shooter. To be honest, Bad Company 2 had more crisp gunplay, and that was a straight up console game. There's no need to burst fire, it's absolutely the definition of run and gun, spray and pray gameplay.

Played the beta most the day today.

Its got alot of issues but is still fun, but the real fun is on the locked Caspian servers, that map is just epic, where as Metro is very small and not nearly as fun as Caspian.

As of right now RO2 and BF3 both offer different things that I enjoy, I think ill be playing both for many years down the road. RO2 is more my style though (more realism).

Just played it, surprised how bad it looks compared to BC2, everything is blurry and ugly looking; maybe its just me (I have it on Ultra). The game isn't very fun but maybe I'll get used to it. Vehicle maps would certainly help

I kept trying to take cover behind walls

I've just played the Battlefield 3 beta and Red Orchestra 2 is just as bad.
I can't wait until tripwire releases the SDK so Ro2 can be modded to a playable state. (fast ADS turns Ro2 into a twitch shooter)

Get lost. It's not ruining anything but the day of all the camp and snipers that actually thought they were good at FPS. Have a close look at every single person that died. Was any of them even aware that every other person that went through that door died?

Morons die easily, regardless of what weapon you use. In that video I see a guy circling around in a set of rooms expecting lots of allies to come sprinting through the door. He was waiting for them, and knew exactly where they would be coming from. He could have been prone with an MG or bolt and still killed every single one of the guys who came sprinting through that doorway without even checking to see if any enemies were camped in there.

Blame the weapon all you want, but I know I could have done the exact same thing with a bayonet and NO "ADS". I've done it. In fact I assaulted a room with TWO MkBers firing at me, and stabbed them both without even needing to bandage.

If you know how to run, you don't even NEED to gun.

Oh another thing... every time he fires, he's at a range where I can get easy hits from the hip with the bolt action or MG. "fast ADS" has NOTHING to do with why those guys got owned. What cause all those guys to die is that they were all on the wrong side of the reaction curve. They were all reacting to a sudden encounter where the first they knew an enemy was even nearby was when he started firing at them

Under those conditions he would have beat them with anything. He moved to make sure he never faced more than one or two opponents at a time, he kept moving so people never knew exactly where he was, and he followed a pattern that meant he would meet the enemy right when HE was expecting it the most, and THEY were expecting it the least. Half of them never even stopped sprinting before they died. they hadn't even realised he was there until they were dead.

Dice has all that money and tripwire did ten times the job dice did. RO2 is in a completely differant league.

BF3 = Cheap, quick elvis painting done on velvit, being sold in a parking lot in vegas.

RO2 = A painting done by a scruffy, friendly old artist who live in a shack on the beach and has dedicated his life to Art and painting beautifull sea scapes

Not even close

After playing the Beta for BF3 I see it hasnt changed basically at all since the Alpha.

I thought RO2 was bad, but BF3 is complete trash.

All this "The BF3 beta is trash" talk is annoying. Its a beta, if it launches with these issues feel free too troll. Until then why not wait before you judge what could be an epic experience.

Plus play caspian border, that's battlefield.

I played the 360 version of the BF3 Beta ( being a console gamer and all ) and im suprised how good it is.
Sure the game is still buggy but I really had a blast playing it.

Im afraid I cant say that about any of games in RO2.
Right now TE just lacks any sense of fighting a epic battle due to lockdown and it strange way how winning the round works.

You know what frostbite 2.0 would be good for? Naval combat game because it sure knows how to simulate sinking of an object in the game!

Get it? 'Sinking'? hahahahaha

On more serious note, BF3 sure is fun for me, but RO2 and BF3 are just so different that they barely overlap for me. If I was in the mood for RO2, BF3 couldn't substitute and vice versa.

I guess I'm off to BF3 for now, until a team that is in no was affiliated with TWI makes a decent mod.

Anyone care to join? The BF3 beta is quite good, and has working stats.

Plus even with 40 fps it runs pretty smooth! And on all LOW graphics, the game still looks 20 times better than RO2.

Sorry to say it, but I prefer a "Console Port" over this buggy and incomplete game.

Dead game, not even a month after it's release.
