I've just played the Battlefield 3 beta and Red Orchestra 2 is just as bad.
I can't wait until tripwire releases the SDK so Ro2 can be modded to a playable state. (fast ADS turns Ro2 into a twitch shooter)
Get lost. It's not ruining anything but the day of all the camp and snipers that actually thought they were good at FPS. Have a close look at every single person that died. Was any of them even aware that every other person that went through that door died?
Morons die easily, regardless of what weapon you use. In that video I see a guy circling around in a set of rooms expecting lots of allies to come sprinting through the door. He was waiting for them, and knew exactly where they would be coming from. He could have been prone with an MG or bolt and still killed every single one of the guys who came sprinting through that doorway without even checking to see if any enemies were camped in there.
Blame the weapon all you want, but I know I could have done the exact same thing with a bayonet and NO "ADS". I've done it. In fact I assaulted a room with TWO MkBers firing at me, and stabbed them both without even needing to bandage.
If you know how to run, you don't even NEED to gun.
Oh another thing... every time he fires, he's at a range where I can get easy hits from the hip with the bolt action or MG. "fast ADS" has NOTHING to do with why those guys got owned. What cause all those guys to die is that they were all on the wrong side of the reaction curve. They were all reacting to a sudden encounter where the first they knew an enemy was even nearby was when he started firing at them
Under those conditions he would have beat them with anything. He moved to make sure he never faced more than one or two opponents at a time, he kept moving so people never knew exactly where he was, and he followed a pattern that meant he would meet the enemy right when HE was expecting it the most, and THEY were expecting it the least. Half of them never even stopped sprinting before they died. they hadn't even realised he was there until they were dead.
