RO is for fun. there's plenty of time for work, wife, kids and all the other stuff. it all fits in somehow! no one is complaining around here.

Possible ways of making the game more addicting ;
*have servers post monthly progress of stats during load times (ie top players win\lose percentage and games played)
*have servers email you trophies and promotions
*have servers record "the player of the day" and post a his vid on the net
*have servers send to $cash money$

i've played 24 hours already this week

Wow a wife and three kids plus all that is impressive. Hats off! Yea, you must be down to about 4 to 5 hours of sleep night. My wife and I just had our second kid, i have no side projects (aside from hobby reading and music), just work and I feel like i have no time (or energy) for anything. I do get in about two hours a night or so of RO though once everyone's asleep just cause i like it a lot and at that time of day there is really nothing else I can do -- though i did get a lot of reading done before RO came along...sad, kinda...
The only thing I have to say is...
I gotta fever! And the only cure....

Cyber addiction takes many forms and degrees of intensity. I read a story on CNN about a Thailand couple that were charged for criminal negligence that some may have seen. They left their infant in the apartment and went next door to a cyber cafe to play WOW MP. The infant died from dehydration because they were playing for so long.
Now some may argue the semantics of the statement...but addiction is addiction, and it always results in self destructive behaviour. It always takes some extreme example of some unfortunates in the world to wake the rest of us up.
I clock a couple hours a night usually, sometimes I skip a day.
On the odd time on the weekend with a couple ale, I'll kill quite a few hours on RO.

well to stop myself i have taken up tai chi and now go outside and clear my thoughts of anything RO then practice some of the form and re-align my chi

I have a one year old daughter ,
I have I stressful jobb,
I have a stressful girlfriend,
I have a stressful EX -girlfriend
I have stressful friends,
I have a educated brain withering away,
I have complicated relations to alcohol.
I smoke
I use tobacco (swedish style in upperlip)
I have a intence musical passion who would blow my mind if I dont record.
And I am adicted to videogames but above all Red orchestra.
Theres is 24 h a day , I sleep six, play RO 1h .
The real problem is my dayjob, 8 hours (if I`m lucky ) of the purest waist of time.

Nope, I'm not addicted. And there are only one real reason for that:
Loading times. In the beginning when I could run a marathon between maps, I usually played 1 or 2 maps and then quitted. No I'm doing the same, one or two and then quit, even when loading times are now 10-15sec.
I almost got addicted few weeks ago, but then the Trial came and I stopped playing(mostly cuz I couldn't find finnish servers which weren't full).

I have my "addicitve" time already behind... I have played CS very very much before and it was usuall that I have played 16 hours a day... I know that it is crazy but I loved online gaming so much. I was trying to find "something" in it... I have found it with RO. And I play a few hour per week RO now, about 10-15 per week and mostly only with my clan.
