Hey all dedicated players mappers and modders:)

Firstly I would like to suggest to Tripwire that if it were possible a mapping compettion might be a good idea to get players and modders alike to increase the arsenal of already well structured and realistic maps out there.

If you think this is a good idea please post and help get the wheels turning.:) :) ;)

On another note I am a noob to mapping:( I have read the tutorial which can be downloaded from this site. I understand the objectives, playerspawns, actors, artillery and their properties but I am finding it hard to find resources on actual terrain editing and skyboxes and such, is there a further tutiorial? Can someone please direct me?

I quite like the idea of the destructible doors that open other access points, like on Stalingrad Kessel and would like to see some meshes ie. Destructable Bridge Meshes that do the opposite and block paths to make for easier defence.:rolleyes: Just a thought.

There was a mapping competition (i even set aside 50 euros as price money and others had their donations planned aswell), but because they didn't want to stickey the thread. And not alot of posts were made inside it it soon fell down to forgotteness.

Never fear;
Tutorials for things like Terrain, BSP, and other LD stuff can be found in the Level Design forum here:
