RO lags with new router

I recently started using a Thomson TG585v8 router and its fine with all my other games (ARMA, COD, etc) but when it comes to playing RO i cant play it, everytime i get into a game i start driving a tank and the damn thing wont stop and i lose all comms to the players on the server, sometimes i cant even get out of the unit selection screen, i had no problems with my old modem but now i have the router i cannot play anymore, RO is now a dead game to me if i cannot fix this problem, can anyone help.

Somewhere there is a thread regarding Thompson routers and problems with them. You can probably just search for it. It is a really long topic....

Thanks for the response and i tried it and it didnt work, i've spent the last few days trying everything i can to fix this problem to no avail, i suggest that Tripwire issue a warning to all future buyers that Thomson routers do not work with RO, now off i go to buy a new router so i can play this game.
