About the tanks.....
Sure, some cosmetics need addressing and the sights need attention but face it Gumrak is fun to play with a bunch of tanks going at it. You need to LEARN how to operate them. They are far more detailed in their operation than RO/DH ever was. After one realizes they must learn the finer points of tanking in RO 2, they'll never look back.
The first time I got into a tank in RO 2.... I was hammered left and right simply because, I didn't know what I was doing. I fully expected that I'd do as I did in RO/DH - WRONG!! There much more to tanking in RO2.

A Current RO 2 Overview
RO 2 plays better, has vastly superior grafx, smoother game play and fully flexible game play. The weapons, ALL of them, work much better and produce satisfying results.
New maps and vehicles are in the mill along with additional improvements and fixes. High quality custom maps, mutators and mods are right around the corner.
As for the AVT-40 and the Mkb.42, they're fine and fun to use. Believe this;
RO2 is just getting started, many of the RO veterans are unhappy mostly IMHO, because they must learn the NEW in RO 2 and they resent that. They are no longer superior to the new players and have no decided advantage over anyone. I'm not saying they are snobs or elitist asshats but then again, I'll leave that up to the other players to decide.
What I will say is the game is fun to play and highly entertaining. You get eight to ten players going in a map like Spartanovka, and the suspense, stalking and sheer energy in the game play is amazing. Many times I've heard players say they were startled by someone. That's true immersion folks. I've been there since day one and you can believe this;
In all fairness to TWI, its time the immature threats, whinging and whining came to a close and everyone harmoniously joined in striving to make RO 2 the place to be.
Me? I'm enjoying myself to no end playing RO 2. Every day, I notice something else I hadn't seen or done before. If people spent more time playing and less time griping, they too would see how much fun RO 2 really is.

It never ceases to amaze me how people would rather curse the darkness than light a candle. RO2 is a major advancement over RO - period! Get used to the idea that RO 2 is NOT a re-skinned RO or DH.

Between the AVT40 and the PPSH.. the Germans have a real problem. If you want to be a German, you had better make certain of what you are doing or you'll be chop meat in no time at all.
RO2 is a a game unto itself. Its not meant to be a sequel to RO its merely a distant relative to RO. RO 2 allows the neat movements we all became familiar with in many other games. No more slogging through wet cement, getting hamstrung by clotheslines, stopped by bushes, hampered by low fences and walls and no more legs sticking through walls and especially being trapped in a room or closed in area by an idiot team mate who refuses get out of the way.

Ninety-Nine percent of the griefers and gripers are fast realizing they are not going to exercise any control over how or what TWI does. In particular, they will not succeed in forcing TWI to dumb down and otherwise make RO 2 more RO. Remember, control freaks finish last.
RO 2 is superb and is only going to get better with every passing week. Looking back at TWI's past support for RO indicates to me that we are on the verge of seeing RO 2 become the PC Gaming Community's favorite FPS game simply because of the ongoing support and enhancements. A good eighty percent of the release complaints are gone and the remainder are about to be history.
